Fin Fin on Teo the Magic Planet is a virtual pet game released by Fujitsu in Japan in 1996.

In this game you watch over Fin Fin, an alien dolpin-bird who has a wife and son. Unlike a conventional pet-sim game, you dont really need to take care of him, and instead mostly just observe Fin Fin as he goes about his day.

For some reason there are 2 albums of eurobeat dance tracks featuring Fin Fin, and I am lucky enough to own one of them. the songs are so stupid and I love them very very much.

there is also an album that was a japanese only release and it is unironically really nice :3

The main way's to interact with Fin Fin was with the microphone and by feeding him Lemo Fruit. A whistle came in the box with the game disc and this was intended to be used to "communicate" with Fin Fin.

Different volumes of noise would affect Fin Fin's emotions and make him more or less wary of you.

There exists a single episode of a Fin Fin anime, and this is the highest quality of it available. I have no clue why it looks and sounds like such abysmal dogshit but its still cool :3

Sadly Fin Fin is only a side character, with only a minute or two of screen time (if you can even tell that he's on screen, because of the video having a resolution of about 3).
